i would counsel them not to go ahead with it if the fillings are satisfactory. most patients will accept ur counsel. however for cosmetic reasons pts want a change in teh filling u cud go ahead with it. Take an IOPA to see secondary caried. Check with a sharp explorer the margins of the fillling for leakages.

if u feel the filling is leaky warn the patient. at times such cases turn into endo
