the duration would depend on the type and the extent of crowding. if the teeth are rotated than permanent/ semi-permanent retention may be required.

if possible pls. post the patients photos.

yes. many adult patients would like to wear ceramic braces. the tooth movement could be a little slow.

it also depends on the degree of crowding , the space available etc.

Periodontal condition, presence of tooth wear in the form of attrition, abrasion , bone loss (vertical/horizontal) , number of missing/restored teeth are all important factors which should be considered before starting treatment whether it is an extraction case or a non-extraction one. Retention period after treatment also varies depending upon the severity of the treated malocclusion.
