     You are right Dr.Darvekar. Every dentist must constantly be on a lookout for lesions especially in tobacco chewers. I myself  have detected a few cases and referred them to the appropriate facilities.

     It is the dentist most of the times who first comes across signs of oral cancer and can play a big role in reducing the morbidity and mortality. In fact early signs of diabetes and a host of other diseases can also be detected by the dentist than any other healthcare professional.
