    what should be the treatment for this kind of pain?

    The following are the treatment options

    capsaicin, oral, topical and epidural clonidine, subcutaneous ketamine, intravenous morphine, Codeine, magnesium chloride, propranolol, lorazepam, and intravenous phentolamine , topical dimethylsulfoxyde (DMSO), epidural clonidine and intravenous regional blocks (IVRBs) with bretylium and ketanserin, intranasal calcitonin and intravenous phentolamine, sympathetic ganglion blocks (SGBs) with local anesthetics, surgical sympathectomy, or physical therapy

    proper diagnosis is a must. we need to look at other factors like overfilling, cracked tooth etc. etc,.
    before a diagnosis of NTP is a made. more often than not it could be something else.
