Necrotising sialometaplasia only mimics salivary malignancy clinically and histologically but is SELF-LIMITING

Common etiology—LOCAL ISCHAEMIA due to physical, chemical,infective or local vasculitis..Trauma due to dentures, surgery, smoking and alcohol can lead to this disorder
