    lead barrier,lead aprons should b used

    To further protect the children, they can be made to stand in the safe zone 6ft. away between 90-135 degrees..

    lead barriers or lead aprons are the most appropiate….for children sitting in the waiting areas adjacent the x-ray rooms accompanying their parents safety can be provided by having heavy metal encased lead chambers in whic x-rays should be taken to prevent radiation exposure

    I dont think this much is needed..the kids can simply be made to wait outside the operatory..and moreover the exposure with dental x rays is minimal.
