Should children be encouraged to use electric toothbrush so that there is effective plaque removal or manual toothbrush so as to habituate them to the correct method of manual brushing?

electric toothbrushes may help in plaque control in deficient children however in those of normal development manual brushing must be encouraged to develop their dexterity further.

However parents must remember that upto 10-12 yrs of age, brushing must be under their supervision so as to ensure proper plaque control
