What happened to the protest started by Dr. Akash Akinwar regarding this decision of DCI? He was doing a fantastic job..i invite all people to vouch your support for him..

I can understand the claim they make of continuing dental education but if they want to make it mandatory for the sake of our upgrading our knowledge why cant they do it at affordable rates ??
Attending 20 lectures a year, each costing more than 1500 each is ridiculous.. if they are doing it for our benefit and for purely upgrade of knowledge then why not get speakers who can do this noble job at lower prices…and who demands food at such places?what is the aim,the education or the food?? To give this excuse itself shows its a money garnering affair

I think the only way to deal with this is to get a middle way.We should protest if our conditions are not met..we dont mind attending conferences but all wont be able to pay such hefty sums!!
Conduct conferences at nominal rates and reduce it from 20 conferences a year…We need a strong leader to represent this part and get a right way out of this.

compulsion made by DCI maynot help much in learning process, but rather they can do it in a healthy way by asking them to attend those conferences which can help them

Yes exactly…they can come down to a agreeable condition where they can reduce the number to less than 20 conferences and make it less expensive

I think it shouldnt be made mandatory at all..we as an individual should have the right to decide whether we want to attend these conferences and which ones..making this mandatory is not going to help their cause of upgrading knowledge because if the dentists are made to attend these conferences against their will, they simply wont apply the knowledge in their practice..
