Music of Hari prasad chaurasia is particularly liked by patients. in the mornings every body likes to hear gayatri mantra in our clinic. very soothing. amongst western music try out Mozart symphonies

i think the kind of music should depend on the type and largely on the age of the patient…

whatever be the age and the type of treatment loud music and rock music should not be played. music should be soft and soothing. it really relaxes the patient and makes dental treatment more acceptable

rock music is disturbing per se…playing it in a dental set up may be more annoying..and yeah the music obviously has to soothe the nerves..

I think high music with great decibel sound of greater frequency can cause anxiety and stress which makes improvment in “DENTAL PAIN”….

The power of music to touch people deeply has been acknowledged down through the centuries:

“Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast, to soften rocks, or to bend a knotted oak.” (William Congreve)
“Music can be all things to all persons. It is like a great dynamic sun in the center of a solar system which sends out its rays and inspiration in every direction. Music makes us feel that the heavens open and a divine voice calls. Something in our souls responds and understands”. (Leopold Stokowski)
“It happened, when the evil spirit from God was on Saul, that David took the harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” (I Samuel 16:23)

The piano is among the world’s most powerful instruments. Its dynamic range can both shake the walls and stir the soul. Solo piano music is very popular among those who seek respite from confusion and grief. It strikes the perfect tone for reflection, whether playing quietly in the background or the main sound in the room. It can entertain all by itself, and it also perfectly accompanies deep thought.
