    If its such a nuisance, the dentist should simply ask the patient to switch off their phones before starting the treatment…If its conveyed by saying rather than being written, patients will abide by it..

    not only put up a notice in the clinic stating that cellphones are not allowed but also mention about it on the case papers, instruction sheets etc. putting it in writing works more than anything else.even if after putting it in writing some patients will use the cell phones in the operatory. they must be firmly and courteously told to switch off the cell phones. The auxiliary staff must also not use the cell phones in the operatory.
