    ! Affects ectoderm derived tissues e.g. no
    sweat glands or sebaceous glands
    Unilateral or bilateral
    ! Familial tendency
    ! Rarely in deciduous teeth

    Ectodermal dysplasia
    ! Nails affected
    ! Hair affected
    ! Partial anodontia

    Most of the patients who report with anodontia needs to be tested for Ectodermal dysplasia and other syndromes for exclusion
