One can use regular motor for rotary but the chance of file breakage is more which can be avoided by not using same files for more than 3 patients

The best option of course is the torque handpiece, available with companies like NSK and Anthrogyr,, which have the feature where when resistance is met, the file changes direction i.e runs anticlockwise and releases itself from the canal and comes out
This is the safest mode
