VEAU’s classification for
CLEFT LIP::
CLASS 1 unilateral notching of vermillion not extending into lip
CLASS 2 unilateral notching of vermillion reaching lip but not including floor of nose
CLASS 3 unilateral cleft of vermillion extending into floor of nose
CLASS 4 any bilateral cleft of lip,complete or incomplete

CLEFT PALATE::
CLASS 1 involves soft palate only
CLASS 2 involves soft and hard palate but not alveolus
CLASS 3 involves soft,hard palate and unilateral alveolus
CLASS 4 involves soft and hard palate and alveolus of both sides
