Tons of continuing education and hands on courses and loads of practice management inputs is the solution for dentists who wish to succeed in practice.

The earlier the dentists recognize this the better it is  for them

An imperative change that needs to be undertaken is granting a vital status to the dentists in the overall healthcare system, by the Council as well as the Government. This will help in creating alternative employment options for the dentists in a situation where private practice seems to be the only sane option. For instance, dentists can be employed at primary and community health centres which currently have no or very few dentists.

I would like to ask the IDA what is its plan of action now, since they are the body that represents us and instead of taking lumpsome amounts without fail for registration why cant they come up with some new ideas for solving the employment issues for those who they represent….current need of the hour is not a magazine but jobs for those who cant afford clinics,,,set up health care centres, dentists will be more than happy to do jobs in such centres,,,this will solve our unemployment problem..

The remedy suggested in the article should be first followed by the one who suggested it as to set a model example for all..

I agree with Dr.Patel/……dentists are willing to work in rural areas provided the Dental bodies provide us with ample facilities to render effective treatment
